PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS DUIRNG MONSOONS

Hi !

The monsoons are onto us !

Please remember to pay attention to the following issues :-

Avoid using your two wheelers since oil slicks rise up onto the road surface and skids are potentially life threatening

Take care of your car - get a full servicing done over the weekend, battery fully charged, oils topped up, keep that tank topped up always, lights operational, wipers serviceable, brake linings changes, tyres filled, Spare wheel in good shape, tool kit in place and anything that I may have missed out !

Avoid using your Cell Phones outdoors when you hear thunder or see lightning. Please move indoors or under shelters to use your mobile.

Never seek shelter under a tree during lightning

Keep your hands dry prior to switching on your computer or handling live electronic equipment

Do not carry your soaked raincoats or umbrellas to your workstations. A short circuit could cost us some business and is hazardous to life.

Leave these with the security .

Avoid street food and consume only boiled water / safe bottled water, since the incidence of jaundice, typhoid etc peaks during the months Jun - Sep, every year .

Fervently take basic everyday precautions to avoid Dengue, Chikun-Gunya, Falsiparum Malaria and guard against the overtures of your friendly neighborhood mosquito

Be a vegetarian during these months, as Salmonella is abundant during Jun to Sep.

Let us enjoy these monsoons, but let us better be safe rather than sorry !!!
